What to expect?

As far as the rumors are concerned, we have an insight into what all features the OnePlus 5T is coming along with this time. Regarding the screen, OnePlus has chosen to go with a 6-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080. It also features the royal 18:9 ratio screen which is the first in the whole OnePlus family. Regarding the protection, OnePlus has stuck with the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which is a pretty tough screen as shown by Corning in their tests.

For the RAM, OnePlus again has the 2 famous variants: The 6GB-64GB model and the 8GB-128GB model (RAM-Internal Memory). This will ensure smooth functioning of the device as far as the UI part is concerned. Any basic user can opt for the 6GB-64GB variant which is pretty much self-sufficient. Advanced users can go with the 8GB-128GB variant to watch movies, play games as much as possible.

Regarding the SoC, OnePlus has opted to go with the same Snapdragon 835 which is an Octa-Core processor. It has 4 Kyro Processors clocked at 2.45 GHz each and 4 Kyro processors clocked at 1.9 GHz each. The 835 comes with the Adreno 540 which is a very powerful GPU and can ensure smooth gaming and all GUI related tasks.

The OnePlus 5T will come with Android Oreo out of the box, running Oxygen OS. It will have non-removable 3300 mAh battery to support the Snapdragon 835. Along with that, the flagship will come with a Front-Mounted Fingerprint Sensor, and all the other required sensors, a flagship should feature. Also, OnePlus has decided to stick with the 3.5mm headphone jack and the USB Type-C port in the OnePlus 5T.

Regarding the pricing, the OnePlus 5T will be sold at the same price as the OnePlus 5, that is, 32,999 INR for the 6GB-64GB variant and the 37,999 for the 8GB-128GB variant. Hence, OnePlus has not fared the price of the OnePlus 5T in comparison with the OnePlus 5 and will be sold for the same pricing across the whole world.

Conclusion

OnePlus has not upgraded the OnePlus 5T much as compared to the OnePlus 5, but still, it will be one heck of a device to look out for in the market as it will compete with the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the iPhone 8. OnePlus has done so far, so well with all of its flagships and we hope that OnePlus 5T delivers as much as it promises.
