Police took the matter into consideration after this video of this incident went viral as Maharashtra’s Women & Child Development Minister Pankaja Munde said: “We have strictly decided for the compulsory installation of the CCTV Cameras at such centres.”

Fortunately, the incident was not taken lightly by the Police Officials, as they have fully examined the footage of Purva Play School and Crèche which is actually a daycare centre for the children whose parents are busy in their daily work.

One of the police officials confirms that “we have arrested the accused Afsana Sheikh and the crèche owner Priyanka Nikam. But Ms.Nikam has been released now on surety bail, but Sheikh will be in our custody.”

The 10-month-old girl whose name is not known, made her parent’s weep inconsolably as they cannot choose between their professional and personal life, due to which their daughter had to face the consequences of being kicked and beaten up at a popular daycare centre in Mumbai.

The parents Ruchita and Rajat Sinha are working a couple and have left their child at a daycare centre every day, and on Tuesday when they went to take their daughter back home, they found a deep wound on the girl’s forehead. Ruchita asked the owner Nikam about this, but not being satisfied with her response, the couple took their daughter to the doctor, where he suspected that it could be a case of child abuse!

Hence, Ruchita and Rajat went to the Kharghar Police Station and lodged a complaint and fortunately, Police did act immediately on it . And when the Police and child’s parents went to the daycare centre to watch the CCTV , they were left shell shocked as the footage showed how Sheikh cruelly bet and slapped children who were left by their respective parents at this daycare centre.

To much relief to the parents of all the child being abused at the daycare centre, the Police has registered cases against Sheikh & Nikam under section 325 & 23 of IPC and Juvenile Justice respectively. And as of now, the 10-month-old girl is being treated for her injuries at a private hospital in Mumbai.
