Movie is based on the biggest evacuation of Indians based in Kuwait during the Iraq-Kuwait war. The poster also releases the film’s plot, of the difficult task of evacuating 1.70 lakh refugees, 488 flights, 59 days and one man. Akshay Kumar plays the main role of that one man. The movie is based on a real situation during the Iraq-Kuwait war of 1990 and will show India’s historical feat of shifting 1.70 lakh refugees from war-hit Kuwait. Airlift is all set to release on 22nd January 2016.
The film, that is based on World’s largest human evacuation held during the Iraq-Kuwait war of 1990, stars Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur in the lead.The first teaser of Airlift won rave reviews from not only the industry insiders but also the audience.
