Politics over Berlin attack


    Yet another terrorist attack on the country which opened its geographical boundaries and welcomed wholeheartedly refugees or asylum seeker and ensured their safety. A truck driver slammed a truck into a crowded Christmas market in front of Kaiser Willhelm Memorial church and left behind 12 dead and 48 injured. the 23-year-old culprit is said to be a migrant who arrived in Germany one year ago with the other 890,000 asylum seeker. though refugees pleaded with germans not to generalize every refugee and see everyone with suspicion.

    The truck was reportedly hijacked and the original driver who was at the passenger seat was shot dead. the Christmas market was shut for a day. However, politically looking upon this matter can give clear indication that Angela Merkel has been subject to a lot of criticism because of her liberal refugee policy. though she has urged the germans “not to succumb to fear, and the country will be back to being free, together and open. Though she hinted that it would be very troublesome to accept if confirmed that the person was someone who sought protection and asylum in germany.
