Nickelodeon, the kids cluster from Viacom18, has announced the second edition of Kids Choice Awards.2016 The channel has been on the top position in the genre for almost the whole of last year.
Nina Elavia Jaipuria who is the Business Head, Kids’ Cluster, Viacom18 says that the channel has been built on the strength of characters such that showcasing them in the toon parade will be a visual delight for the kids. The kids network consisting of channels Nick, Sonic, Nick Jr and Nick HD+ boasts of a lot of own localised characters, including Shiva, Motu Patlu, Pakdam Pakdai and the international syndicated characters like Spongebob, Ninja Hattori, Dora, Oggy and the Cockroaches and Alvin and the Chipmunks.
This is the only Live Awards Show where kids get to vote for all the winners in all thecategories. There are 13 categories to vote for and some of the key awards categories include Best Movie Actor (Male and Female), Best Bollywood Movie, Best Television Show and Best Indian Cartoon Character.The event was premiered on Nick TV yesterday at 6pm..
The special features of this show were the Green slime mania, dancing with the Nicktoons and a powerful celenbrity lineup. The Best Movie Actor was won by Salman Khan while the Best Movie Actor(Female) was won by Deepika Padukone.” Kala Chashma” was the the best song voted by the kids.Tiger Shroff was voted as the dancing star of the season while Varun Dhawan won the entertainer award. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan together won the “Kamaal ki Jodi Award” Motu Patlu show got maximum votes and won the bestshow.Motu won the award for the Best Cartoon Indian character.
