But the ophthalmologist was informed that Hrithik Roshan already was planning to donate his eyes.

Here is the excerpt shared by Dr. S. Natarajan, I saw the trailer of Kaabil last week in December 2016 and contacted Rakesh Roshan on 6th January 2017 to ask if Hrithik Roshan would like to promote an eye donation campaign. I was pleasantly surprised when Rakesh Roshan told me that Hrithik already planned to pledge his eyes and when I spoke to Hrithik he told me that he would like to celebrate his birthday by pledging his eyes to the campaign.”

Hrithik Roshan’s close association with the visually challenged while filming Kaabil prompted the versatile actor to donate his eyes. His pious desire was kept under cover till date by the Ophthalmologist Dr. S. Natarajan on asked by Rakesh Roshan as he did not want this to be projected as any promotional step.
