Ravish Kapoor has designed the Shahid Kapoor’s wedding card. It was only until day before (June 30) that few pictures of Shahid Kapoor’s wedding invitation, along with information, were leaked over the internet. Indian Express talked to the designer and gathered some more details about the groom-to-be and his tastes. Ever since the news of Bollywood heartthrob Shahid Kapoor getting married to Delhi-based Mira Rajput came out, there have been horde of speculations regarding everything with him managing to keep further details under wraps. The process was very quick as Shahid wanted something that had clean and simple lines. His parents did the initial meeting and suggested the cream and turquoise colour.
Rumour was on it that July 12,which the actual wedding date is still under wraps, the ‘Haider’ star will host a grand reception for his friends from the industry. Shahid is indeed getting married to Mira on July 7 at The Oberoi, Gurgaon. And Indian Express has few exclusive pictures of the wedding card. Take a look.
The card has contains four tiny bottles of honey with two rectangular boxes containing exotic tea bags, designed in pastel colours.
The invite is designed by Delhi-based Ravish Kapoor, who has been into the business for long. He has earlier designed wedding cards for Shilpa Shetty, Ganesh Hegde and Hrithik Roshan. The wedding card is just what you can expect from an actor par excellence Shahid Kapoor – simple yet classy, and elegant yet pompous.
Ravish Kapoor is said about the Shahid Kapoor’s wedding, “He is very busy. And we are also busy doing his reception card. So, there are two cards. One is the wedding card, which is exclusively for the family members and some close friends and the other is for the reception party that will be held in Mumbai.”
He continued that, “Shahid was very particular about everything – font, colour. He doesn’t like Gold and he had told us to use minimum of Gold. So if you
notice, we have written only his and Mira’s names in Gold.”
