This week a lot of twist and turns were witnessed by the Indian Cricket fans. The first week of 2017 for some people was happy while some were disappointed with the shocking news of retirement of M S DHONI as the captain.
The five big news which came in the first week of 2017 were:
1. Anurag Thakur being sacked as the President of BCCI: Anurag Thakur, the president of BCCI (Board of cricket council in India) and the secretary Ajay Shirke were asked to resign their respective post from BCCI on 2nd January 2017 by Supreme Court.
2. MS DHONI retiring as the captain from limited over cricket formats: On 4th January 2017, our Captain Cool of Indian Cricket Team surprised the cricket fans all over the world with his decision. He left the captaincy of Test cricket in December2014. Now he had taken the decision of leaving as the limited over format’s captain. MS was so the best captain of Indian team. M S DHONI retiring as the captain proved to be the end of one phase for Indian Cricket.
3. VIRAT KOHLI coming as the new captain of Indian cricket team: The capabilities of VIRAT KOHLI as a player and the captain of Test team is undoubtable. Now as the leader of ODI and T20 cricket, he’ll prove to be a good one in that formats too.
