The first official poster of Sarbjit was launched by Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, BJP president Amit Shah and Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday in New Delhi. Richa Chadha, actor Darshan Kumar and movie producers Bhushan Kumar, Vashu Bhagnani and Sandeep Singh was also attended at that time. Aishwarya Rai and Randeep Hooda played lead roles in this film. Directed by Omung Kumar, this Sarbjit movie is totally based on Indian terrorism culprit Sarbjit Singh. Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan plays Sarbjit Singh sister Dalbir Kaur. And Rich will play Sarabjit”s wife. She expressed her feeling during shooting as a “very painful one”.
Aishwarya thanked the producer for giving her the chance to picture such a strong character.
Aishwarya said,
“It is a subject which we are all very familiar with. And we, as a team, were very keen to share the story with those who don’t know about it in detail. It’s very important for us, as a nation, to understand, respect and recognize the struggle. I would like to say thank you for giving me this opportunity to play the part of a lady I immensely respect. It’s an absolute honour”
Mr Shah said,
“I would like to congratulate the makers for choosing this subject. This a story of an Indian who spent his whole life in anonymity and the struggle his sister went through to bring him back to his country. I wish the team good luck. I hope that the message which this film carries reaches every corner of the country because such stories inspire a lot of people.”
Nitin Gadkari, Union minister said, Sarbjit film will send the message to the youth of the country. This film is make in a different way, it is a political story and it is very serious and sensitive story. This film shows beautiful brother sister relationship story. This is scheduled to release on May 20.
