The leopard-man Usain Bolt is a great fan of English football club, Manchester United. He follows every match of the club on a regular basis. His love for the club was seen again when he called MUTV, a Manchester United Television channel, during the post-match discussion.

A post-match discussion was telecasting after Manchester United beat Middlesbrough Club by 2-1 in which callers are asked for their suggestions or can get involve in the discussion. Moving through the series of caller, TV anchor Mandy Henry received a call. She said, “Our next caller is in Jamaica, we’re heading over there to speak to Usain – it’s not Usain Bolt is it?”

“It is Usain Bolt, it is Usain Bolt,” the caller assured.

“They really came through, as if it was the old Manchester United,” Bolt said.

“They pushed on, they persevered – the Manchester United way. It was a great match, I’m very happy.”

The ‘triple-triple’ Olympic sprint champion later verified on twitter that it was he who called tweeting, “Come on lad of course it was me on Man Utd TV just now.”

Sadly the show presenters could not convince themselves that it was really Usain Bolt and Henry courteously chived him off the line saying:

“OK Usain, thanks very much, have you get any big plans for New Year’s [Eve] in Jamaica?”

Usain replies: “No, just home, and a few fireworks.”

Henry presses on: “Very nice, Usain, very nice. Well, you enjoy it. Thanks very much for phoning.”

Later Henry tweeted, ” Sorry Usain – we didn’t think it was you! Enjoy your celebrations in Jamaica and call again after West Ham on Monday night!”
