With less than four days remaining in enrolling for the Prime Membership, rumors have surfaced that Reliance might extend its Happy New Year Offer once again for its users.

After serving the nation with no call and data rates for the past couple of months, Mukesh Ambani launched the Jio Prime Membership which requires paying Rs 99 as a subscription fee, as well as a monthly Rs 303 for unlimited data (28 GB), capped at 1GB per day. However, there is a way to get that subscription rate waived of,

According to Teleanalysis, key members at Reliance were unhappy with the slow adoption of prime membership and want to increase the numbers by extending the deadline. They also expect a sudden rise in the subscription towards the very end owing to deadline threat. The report also says that only about 22-27 million users out of the 100 million users of so far have opted for prime membership, about 50 per cent of what the telecom giant had expected.

The company also announced “buy one get one free offer” which allows an additional 5 GB of data on a recharge of Rs 303 and an additional 10 GB data on a recharge of Rs 499 or higher.

In case you joined the Jio family before New Year but have not yet decided to subscribe for Prime Membership, you may as well wait a little longer in hope of a extended Happy New Year scheme by Jio or other options by rival companies. In either case you will be on the winning side.
