The new United States President Elect Donald Trump , has vowed to ban Muslims from the U. S. Has been beleaguered the Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif by calling him a ‘terrific guy’ and also added that “he has a very good reputation” and said , “am ready and willing to play any role that you want me to play” while addressing some standard problems.
According to the Pakistan Government Press , this is what US President Elect Donald Trump said to Nawaz Sharif as this was the phone conversation between the two when Pakistan PM Sharif called the US President Elect to congratulate him on his magnanimous success.
Not to forget , Trump had faced a lot of backlash from the liberals when he promised a permanent ban on Muslims in the United States during his Presidential Campaign. Now Sharif is under the radar , Pakistan being a Muslim Majority Country , he is accused of channelling money abroad , when his and all his family members’ name were mentioned in Panama Papers.
Needless to say the relation between the US and Pakistan have been frost until now as Washington DC was unhappy with Islamabad’s delay in action towards the terror groups like Haqqani Netwoek , Hafiz Saeed and Masood Azhar.
And not only this , Islamabad has shown its unhappiness over the growing closeness between India and the US , especially when both of them signed a deal in August to utilize each other’s military for re – supply ad repair. And with Trump having business ties in India , which is now a major concern in Pakistan which thinks that United States may fasten its shift towards the Capital City in India.
A love hate relationship is going on in between Pakistan and the US , and according to a US Real Estate Magnate , who is a close associate of Donald Trump said that , “Trump was in talks with Sharif and Trump said that ‘it will be an honor to personally play any role that you want me to play and also to find solutions to the standard problems’ . But he did not clearly specify what problems he was talking about.”
Moreover , Trump has also told Sharif that , “it looks like I’m talking to a person I’ve known for long” & “Pakistanis are one of the most intelligent people living in this era”. He has also asked Sharif , “to feel free” to call him “anytime & even before 20th January “ as this is the date when he is going to assume his office duties”.
He was also invited to visit Pakistan by the PM himself on which Trump said , “I would love to visit this fantastic country , a fantastic place of some fantastic people! Convey my message to all the Pakistani people that they are all amazing and I know they are exceptional people”.
The White House has also passed a $ 602 Billion Natioanl Defence Authorization Act , which will block the $ 450 Million aid to Islamabad unless and until it keep fighting to the militant group , which major law makers pose it as a major threat to the U.S. Forces in Afghanistan.
US also said that the State has warned its citizens against “non essential trips to Pakistan”. And has also said that the investment in Pakistan might be a hit , due to the ‘travel warning’ issue notice in Washington DC.
The statistics say that more than 1,000 people are being killed in the home grown terror in Pakistan this year , and in the month of June , at least 60 of them were killed while 90 of them are seriously injured in the terror attack at Quetta. And even in August , a bomb blast at a hospital in Quetta killed more than 70 people. And the Surgical Strikes carried out at the LoC is killing lives at the border every single time it is carried out.
