The Prime Minister of India , Narendra Modi has been showering the daughters of India , P.V. Sindhu and Sakshi Malik with blessings as he termed them as “daughters saving India’s grace” at the Rio 2016 Olympics.
He was present at the inaugural function of Sauni Irrigation project where he touched upon various controversial and delicate topics which are plaguing the country. One of them being the gender discrimination.
He urged the parents and the whole society not to discriminate between boys and girls.
He talked about this matter and said ” We have to ensure that our daughters and other women does not go in open for defecation. We all have seen how these daughters (PV Sindhu , Sakshi Malik and Dipa Karmakar) has saved India’s grace and won laurels there! This is the true power of Indian Daughters!”
Shuttler P.V. Sindhu won a silver in the Rio 2016 Olympics whereas Sakshi Malik became the first women wrestler in India to win a bronze for the nation.
And now the news has surfaced about Sakshi Malik being the brand ambassador of “Beti Bachao” Campaign which is successfully worked upon by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself.
The Prime Minister has urged saying “Please do not repeat the old mistakes . Our girls are capable as the boys and that has been proved in the Rio Olympics Do not discriminate them!”
Now Narendra Modi has come up with a new campaign which will be attached to his previous existing one , and named it as “Beti Bachao , Beti Padhao , Beti Khilao” which means “Save girls , educate girls and let girls play!”
He says ” We all have seen the wonderful play by our girls and let them play , do not stop from doing that! Let them take up sport activities that interests them!”.
