The Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav on Friday has expelled his son Akhilesh Yadav (the current Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister) and his cousin Ram Gopal Yadav from the SP for 6 years. It seems that the plan was flanked by brother Shivpal Yadav who was at the loggerheads with the UP CM.

While Mulayam Singh Yadav said that , “I’ve expelled my son Akhilesh and Ram Gopal Yadav to save the party which I have built through a lot of hard efforts. Now the party itself will decide who will become the New Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.”

SP Chief Mulayam Singh has accused Ram Gopal Yadav for indulging in anti – party activities which was weakening the party ahead of the Assembly Elections in the State. Where as Ram Gopal Yadav had earlier in the day called for a National Convention of the Samajwadi Party on January 1 after having a rift over the list of SP Candidates which were finalised by the SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav for the upcoming Assembly Polls.

Mulayam Singh hit out at Ram Gopal by saying , “no one has the right to call for a National Executive Meeting , other than the Party Chief. He has hurt the interests of UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and has mislead him.”

In fact , the father SP Supremo also lashed out at his son UP CM for siding with anti – party person Ram Gopal Yadav and said , “Akhilesh does not understand that Ram Gopal is trying hard to destroy him and his future. The decision to expel them was taken after when Ramgopal in my capacity called for an Emergency Meeting of the Party on January 1 and Akhilesh blindly supported him!”

Mulayam Singh Yadav also added , “How can he (son Akhilesh Yadav) release the list of the candidates when the Party has already declared the names? I understand that both Ram Gopal & Akhilesh wants to finish the Samajwadi Party. But I will not let this happen. I have built this entire party through my hard work! I had made Akhilesh the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh with much fan fare! And now the Party Members will decide who will become the UP CM!”
