Facebook is all set to take on its rival LinkedIn by launching a new jobs search portal.
Facebook announced, soon, an option to post the job openings on the business page of the companies in US and Canada will be available. Using this feature people will be able to easily find those posts on their Page or in the new jobs bookmark.
The company said that they are focused on developing new ways to help make it easier for businesses to interact with the over one billion people visiting their pages every month. A large no. of businesses and people use Facebook to fill and find jobs. Owning to the same, they are all set to bring out new features that allow job posting and application directly on Facebook.
Detailing about its feature, the company added, after posting a job on the page, admins will be able to review applications and contact applicants on Messenger, all on mobile and all in one place.
As per Facebook, while the feature is in testing phase and helped fill a number of roles.
The new Facebook will have new bookmark for jobs. People who are looking for jobs can check out job posts that will appear in their News Feed or in the new bookmark for jobs. Jobs can also be checked alongside other posts on business Pages. If they wish to apply for a post, they can click on the “Apply Now” button. As soon as they click the button, a form will open that will contain the information from their profile on Facebook. The application form can be reviewed and edited before submitting by the applicant.
The option will be available in US and Canada as per now.
