The possible flagship Avenger would target the likes of UM Renegade cruisers.Autocar India reports that, according to its sources, the Bajaj Avenger 400 variant is being worked upon alongside the upcoming Pulsar 400 (most like the CS 400). The idea of a bigger engined Avenger probably gathered momentum after seeing the tremendous response for the refreshed cruiser family.

The engine is expected to displace around 375 cc but specific details are not available yet. We can expect the motor to adopt liquid-cooling and fuel-injection system. Likely to be paired with a 6-speed gearbox, the motor would be focusing on delivering an effortless cruising experience rather than offering outright power.

The Bajaj Avenger 400 is likely to use a liquid-cooled fuel-injected engine. As far as styling is concerned, we expect the Bajaj Avenger 400 to be very close to its smaller siblings which are appreciated for their aesthetics. Bajaj has an option of offering both Street and Cruise variants of the Avenger 400.

According to sources, the bigger-capacity Avenger is expected to get a single-cylinder 375cc engine, which could be the reworked version of the KTM Duke 390s engine that develops 42bhp at 9,000rpm and 35Nm of torque at 7,000rpm, mated to a six-speed gearbox.

At the launch of the V15 commuter bike, Bajaj Auto hinted that its next launch will be a bigger motorcycle than anything it is currently offering. This of course, draws attention to the Pulsar CS400 that has been just a concept for over two years now. If the report holds true, it remains to be seen which higher displacement model we can expect from Bajaj first.

The Bajaj’s Avenger Street is the sportster you need. Dressed in all the dark shades and with sporty mag wheels, it is guaranteed to set the streets on fire. Be amazed with the easy maneuverability these straight handlebars provide as you tackle narrow streets or long highways, with equal ease.
