Earlier, North Korea had reportedly tested on of its intercontinental ballistic missile that according to experts would bring major US Cities under its range, thus bringing about a lot of disapproval from major countries like the USA, South Korea, China, and Japan.
An analysis by countries like US, Japan, and South Korea claims that the missile that was launched from Mupyong-ni, located near the North Korean border with China, flew for almost 45 minutes, thus covering 3,700 kilometers in height and approximately 1,000kms in distance. As per the analysis, if the missile were to be fired on a flatter and standard trajectory, the missile could have easily traveled much farther, thus having major cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, and Dever in its range, and probably could have even reached New York and Boston. This analysis was by David Wright, a missile expert at the Union of Concerned Scientists.
And though the missile test, according to an early analysis of the missile test on Friday, there is no proof as to the payload that the missile was carrying. This means that the if the payload on the missile was heavier, the distance covered by the missile would be limited, thus making this claim false.
President Donald Trump, who has a history with North Korea in a written statement said, “Threatening the world, these weapons and tests further isolate North Korea, weaken its economy, and deprive its people. The United States will take all necessary steps to ensure the security of the American homeland and protect our allies in the region.”
Considering the fact the intercontinental ballistic missile had traveled much more distance when compared to the tests done earlier this month, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff believe that the Friday missile was far more advanced. Based on the test done earlier, experts had suggested that Pyongyang could easily hit Alaska. Reacting to this, President Donald Trump had announced that the US would act in the necessary means to ensure its security.
