Pakistani artist nominated for Filmfare awards

    The Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 is again in news but this time for negative reasons. The fans of Akshay Kumar called the event scripted and paid and showed their anger through twitter.They claimed that his performance in Rustom deserved an award when his name was not there in nominations.

                                                  

    Surprisingly even after so much tension between India –Pakistan,3 Pakistani artists have been nominated in various categories at the Filmfare Awards 2017. 

                                                       

    While Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is nominated for  Best Supporting Actor (Kapoor and Sons), singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan got the nomination  for, Jag Ghoomeya (Sultan) , Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch and Atif Aslam have been nominated for Kari Kari (Pink) and for Kari Kari (Pink) respectively.

                                                

     

    A Bollywood Hungama report quoted a filmmaker as saying, “It’s a matter of self-respect. We are not welcome in Pakistan. They brutally kill and maim our soldiers. And we behave as if our cinema can’t do without their artistes? Kuch toh sharm karo (have some shame).” The report did not name the filmmaker.

                                                    

    Pakistanis artist were banned in Indian cinema following several attacks at various army posts in Kashmir and Uri attack that killed 18 soldiers.In reply, many of Indians films were banned in Pakistan.
