The trailer for Baahubali was out on Thursday morning and it soon became the #1 trending video on Youtube. An official trailer launch was on in Mumbai for the much awaited film in the presence of film’s director SS Rajamouli, actors Pray has and Rana Daggubati and Karan johar.
The film will the theaters on April 28 and supposedly bring an end to the question,”Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali?”. Meanwhile at the event in Mumbai all big names associated with the film were busy answering the curious crowd.
Bollywood film maker Karan Johar was inquired about his inputs for Baahubali and Baahubali 2, to which he very promptly replied that his movies were very different and he was not capable of contributing to such a big movie. He also admitted that the event was the biggest in his 25 year long career. Karan Johar was gifted a sword by the Baahubali 2 team which he fondly accepted for his kids.
The Baahubali actors Rana and Prabhas had to clarify that their physique on screen is attributed to their workout regime and is not computer generated.
The director SS Rajamouli said that he wanted the same thrill in the second movie as created by the Shivlinga scene in the first and hence he resorted to the idea of using elephant in the introduction scene. He also added that Baahubali was a franchise and he had no plans of ruining the movie for money, so it would end as a two part flick. On being asked about Anushka Shetty and Tamannah Bhatia’s absence at the event, he cleared the air by responding that they were busy people and he also wanted to keep the audience curious. The director also made it very clear that the rumors about trailer leak were false and it was only a technical glitch.
The audience is waiting patiently for the movie to hit the screen and unveil the mystery behind Baahubali’s death. Promotional event might have offered answers to a few questions but the thirst for Baahubali 2 has only deepened.
