Today’s strike that is 2nd of September have high chances of hampering the routine normal life , there will be no cabs to drop you to the office neither will be any government buses running on the roads. All the educational institutions including various banks along with their employees have gone on a nation wide strike and termed it as a BHARAT BANDH!!

There are two major reasons for calling the strike head on , the foremost thing which triggered this strike is the due fee reimbursement that is not yet cleared.

Many students are waiting for their due scholarship so that they could collect their respective original documents from the institute and then think of applying for further studies or a job. It has been more than a month , where the candidates are just been said to wait for the sanction of fees by the government and have made false claims of releasing money very soon.

Around lakhs of students are waiting for their fee reimbursement while there is no positive response from the higher authorities , the graduate and post graduate colleges , universities with their staff and students are going for the protest and making it a big reason behind the Bharat Bandh.

Another major reason behind this fall out is long wait of  the working class to get their wage hike done , as promised by the Modi government and that false claims are bringing people on road , abandoning their workplace. Tapan Das , one of the citizen who spearheaded the strike , says ” Labour Ministry has claimed a promise to increase the wage by about 42 % , that would be the minimum wage for those working in central sphere.”

“Then what about the people who are working at a fixation of just about Rs.18,000 per month?” he elaborates. Another person in the meeting of Minimum Wage Advisory Board which was held on 29 August said “Government always do this . They are discriminating the Class ‘C’ , ‘A’ and ‘S’ workers against the promises they made.”

“The workers in central sphere in those classes are not even getting the half of the price that we demanded for , and we have been arguing about it for more than 5 years now” he adds.

These depressed and angry workers were making claims based on the promises of Labour Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Wednesday. When asked about the details of strike , one of the group in the meeting says “Many attempts have been made to sabotage our meet and our plan to strike and such efforts will happen again in future , but for now the STRIKE IS ON!”

If it happens , then today there will be an inflation of around 5% which will cause economy loss of around Rs.25,000 Crore , as they will be no workers at their designated workplace , no public transportation available , with the educational institutions coming to a halt and with no retail markets and commercial outlets open.
