“Gamers rely on their gear to react and respond as fast as they do no matter the situation, from landing a headshot to combining ultimate abilities as a team,” says Min-Liang Tan, Razer co-founder, and CEO.

“Timing is critical. The BlackWidow TE Chroma V2’s Instant Trigger Technology works hand-in-hand with our Yellow switches, setting the bar for the industry’s fastest response rating on a keyboard with the ultimate combination of hardware and software.”

The keyboard offers users three choices – Green, Orange or Yellow switches. The yellow switches are silent and rapid to meet the demands of a fast-paced first person shooter (FPS) or MOBA type games.

It has very low response time and 1.2mm acuation point which is 40% faster than standard mechanical key switches.

Razer reports their switches like this :-

  • Razer™ Green Switch – Tactile and Clicky
  • Razer™ Orange Switch – Tactile and Silent
  • Razer™ Yellow Switch – Linear and Silent

It is designed for portability – it includes a compact, tenkeyless layout with detacable USB braided cable. A magnetic ergonomic wrist rest is also offered for more comfort while gaming and it’s even removable, so more portability.

It features individually back-lit keys that are powered by Razer Chroma™ technology.
