ASUS has released their B250 Mining Expert Motherboard, with support for 19 GPUs. It features 3x 24-pin connectors, 18x PCIe x1 slots, and 1x PCIe x16 slot. This means that it supports 19 GPUs, which is absolutely amazing – for cryptocurrency miners. The price is $150.

But what about the power?

A single 24-pin connector is NOT enough for providing PCI-e power to all 19 GPUs. ASUS tackles this by using what they call ‘Triple-ATX12V Power Delivery’. They have put 3x 24-pin power connectors, which suffice the power requirement of all 19 GPUs.

Current drivers only support up to 8 GPUs?

Current drivers by AMD and NVIDIA only support up to 8 GPUs. But don’t worry, there is a way to use 19 GPUs – use GPUs from both companies. It is possible to use 16 GPUs for now. After AMD releases their new driver which supports 11 GPUs, you can use 8 NVIDIA GPUs to get a total of 19 GPUs for maximum mining hashrate.
