AMD has finally now released their RYZEN CPUs – the Ryzen 7, Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3. We now have the Threadripper lineup – AMD Threadripper 1950X, 1920X & 1900X. They have overclocking capability and have amazing multi-threaded performance. A Liquid Water Cooling solution is required in order to cool these beasts. They are being released on August 10 in the US and expected to start shipping out on August 15 as per PrimeABGB.

Performance Overview

We have here a performance overview for the Threadripper 1920X and the Threadripper 1950X on Cinebench R15.038 nT

As you can see, the Threadripper 1950X beats any Intel CPU released yet. The Threadripper 1920X gets a little bit more performance than the Xeon 2699 v3.

Conclusion

AMD has released an amazing CPU but make sure you don’t buy it just for gaming, there are way cheaper CPUs that will provide the same performance in gaming. Buy this CPU if you are doing intensive multi-threaded work like video editing and 3D rendering.
