The main contest is considered to be between P Dayakar of the ruling TRS, main opposition Congress nominee and former Union Minister Sarve Satyanarayana and BJP candidate P Devaiah on behalf of the BJP-TDP combine.As per the live updates, Congress’s Kantilal Bhuriya is leading by 34745 votes. With this lead, celebrations started outside his house. Going by the initial rounds of counting, Congress is at the second place whereas BJP candidate is at third. Leading at the first position is TRS candidate Pasunoori Dayakar by over 48889 votes.
The counting of votes which started at 8 AM today in going on in seven halls in Enumamula market yard in Warangal. Warangal by-poll was held on November 21 which has registered a voter turnout of 68.59 percent.
