Hyderabad: Arrangements are in place for the Intermediate Theory examinations beginning today i.e. 1st March 1, 2017 across Telangana state. Nearly about 9.7 lakh students will be appearing for the exams.
Students have been provided to use an app to locate exam centers. The board has created a mobile app to locate exam centers for the convenience of candidates writing the exams. Education minister Kadiyam Srihari launched this app on Monday.
The application will provide easier ways to the exam hall. The candidates will now do not have to struggle locating for the inter exam centres.
Many strict actions were also taken along with some new rules, so that malpractice by any student sitting to write the exam paper can be prevented.
A. Ashok, Board of Intermediate Secretary made it clear earlier no student will be allowed into the examination hall after 9am. Candidates can go in from 8am. This is done to overcome incidents of malpractice; candidates will not be allowed to leave the hall till the completion of the exam at 12 noon.
The official warned of strict punishment to candidates and criminal action against managements if any irregularities are located. The candidates are not allowed to bring phones or other gadgets into the examination hall. Even the board officials will not be allowed to carry cell phones with them while on exam duty.
Intermediate board comprising of fifty flying squads and 200 sitting squads, revenue and police staff will be making random inspections at examination centers.
