HYDERABAD: JNTU students unhappy with the correction and evaluation process of the university had protested in front of (JNTU) Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad campus, against university's evaluation system.
The (ABVP) Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad group members have joined hands with JNTU students in the protest, they moved together to meet the Vice Chancellor and appealed with an evaluator spend at least six minutes on each paper. In a representation submitted to the VC, they also demanded that a photocopy of answer sheet be handed over to students applying for re-evaluation.
"If the board of intermediate can give photocopies of reevaluated answer sheets, why can't JNTU do the same? Being a reputed university, they should be even more careful," said Dileep J, secretary, ABVP, Hyderabad.
While JNTU registrar, N Yadaiah, made it clear that it can't hand out photocopies of answer sheets, due to legal issues, he assured to hold talks with students to resolve the issues.
Here is how the Government finally looked into the issue after JNTU Students Protest For Faulty Correction
However, The the committee has now agreed to spend 6 mins of a paper to evaluate.
