Low Voltage of Coffee Lake Processors?
EXP Review’s report says that the i7-8700K along with other Coffee Lake CPUs will have a very low voltage. This means that there is a ton of headroom for overclocking, but after 5.0GHz there could be problems. This is because of Intel’s usage of Thermal Interface Material (TIM) instead of solder.
Intel Core i7-8700K is a 6 Core 12 Threaded CPU with a TDP of 95W and a Base and Boost clock of 3.8GHz and 4.7GHz respectively.
