The fight over the awards in the bollywood industry is not hidden from anyone. Some target the others directly while, some indirectly. The list recently got added with a new incident.
Recently, the 26-year old actor, Harshvardhan Kapoor expressed his displeasure on awarding Punjabi star, Diljit Dosanjh as the Filmfare Best Debut Male for his acting in Udta Punjab and later took to twitter again to apologise for what he said before. The actor was also nominated in the same category for his film Mirzya.
He tweeted, “Love you to sir, have lots of respect for you and your body of work sorry I said something that came out wrong.”
The series of targeting and then apologising started when Diljit was awarded for the Best Debut Male for Udta Punjab in the Filmfare awards.
Harshvardhan Kapoor tweeted out of his dismay, “Don’t feel entitled to any award,I’m questioning the principle of who is a newcomer, have zero problems losing to a genuine newcomer.”
Diljit Dosanjh, in an interview with PTI said, “I am not hurt. I am not sad. I am thankful to Filmfare Awards for the honour that they gave me. I don’t think I was deserving enough. It’s a big award and I think they would have seen something in me and so they gave me the award.”
“For me the love of my fans matter the most and that’s the biggest award for me. I love Harshvardhan Kapoor. I also like his father Anil Kapoor, he is a superstar,” he added.
