    Republic day which is also known as Ganatantra Diwas laurels the date on which the Constitution of India came into force on 26 January 1950 replacing the government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India. Republic means people of India have the power to govern the country themselves.

    India celebrates this day every year to honour the date when Constitution of India came into force. The day has been declared as national holiday by the Government of India. On this day, India was declared as a Sovereign, Secular, Socialistic and Democratic.

    Republic day celebrations is a three days ceremony that showcases India’s defence social and cultural Heritage.The grand parade is held in the capital city of India New Delhi. Awards like Padma Bhushan and Bharat Ratna are given on the occasion of republic day. The first republic day parade was held in Rajasthan.

    The main Republic Day celebration is held in National Capital, New Delhi, at the Rajpath before the president of India. On this day, ceremonious parades takes place at the Rajpath, which are performed as a tribute to India; its unity in diversity and rich in cultural heritage
