The movie is remake version of the Hindi movie Sala Kaduus played by R. Madhavan and Ritika Singh, the Telugu movie Guru starres, Venkatesh Daggubati and Ritika Singh in the main roles, directed by Sudha Kongara.

Guru is a struggle of a sportsman turned coach who was unable to bring a gold medal for the country but invests his skills in a girl who will fulfill his dream of a gold medal for the country.
The Story Plot of Guru
The Movie tells the Story of Sportsman Aditya played by Venkatesh, who was betrayed by his own men and lost a gold medal for the country.
This betrayal has an impact on his whole life, makes him a rude and arrogant coach. As the reason, he will be shifted to Vishakapatnam where he finds a gem a boxer, in the slums who dreams to get a medal for the country, the rest of the story shows the aggression of both the fighters to win a Gold Medal.
