It is the high time to ask the higher officials about the much debated topic “Fee Reimbursement” , as 14 Lakh students and 2.5 Lakh College Employees are waiting for their dues to be cleared by the Government of Telangana.
Those employees working in the college are going on without a single payment of salary as the government has not cleared the fee dues as promised earlier , and this has created havoc not only in their life , but in students alike.
In fact , it was Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy who was presided at the meeting organised by the NSUI and Youth Congress at L.B Nagar spoke at a length about this hot topic.
He said that “Several students and their parents are depressed and the situation could turn worse if the State Government does any further delay in the payment of the fees as per the promise.”
According to the TPCC Chief , the government owes fees dues of around Rs.3,600 Crore to private colleges and despite of giving assurance in the Assembly , KCR has failed to keep his words.
He also included that “Government was on the verge of bankruptcy as it has no money to pay for students , farmers or the poor patients and yet is giving a sort of assurance from nowhere.”
He has also said that the Chief Minister KCR is ensuring regular payments to the contractors of Mission Bhagaritha to get his commission but is failing to keep up with the promise he had made with lakhs of students in the State.
“We did not want to enter into agitation mode and hence we did not fight against it on a massive appeal , as we wanted to give the new government time to settle down , but now it appears that they are no longer interested to look upon this issue as a whole” adds the TPCC Chief.
He also mentioned that he would not be trusting the TRS Government as it has resorted to Anti – Student Policies and this has caused a lot of inconvenience to the students as they are facing a lot of difficulties just because of the non clearance of the fee reimbursement dues by the State Government.
