Shah Rukh Khan says “I just hope my stardom does not come in way of success of Dear Zindagi” in which Alia Bhatt plays the lead role while Shah Rukh Khan has a cameo role in it.
He shares , “the film is been wonderful done by Gauri Shinde (director) and Alia and I hope I do not let them down and I hope me & my stardom don’t let them down . My character is as important as the other characters , but it is just a cameo.”
He says , “for a while trying to do things differently , I have not assure myself till now that stardom of mine pulls people to theatres to watch my film . I sometimes hear noises and sometimes voices about my films . I have been receiving advices like to do something different and not just following the star vehicle , so ‘Dear Zindagi’ is just one step in that direction.”
He adds , “I am thankful to Gauri Shinde to cast me in this special movie , I am a support of life to this amazing film which I have never played in my career till now.”
Talking about his role he says , “My role of Dr. Jahangir Khan is what I could not imagine anything about , I had to be the character everytime , he is so philosophical and different , by playing this him I explored the calm side of myself.”
Where as Alia Bhatt’s character is very relatable to the woman of today’s time. Here is what she says , “I can relate to Kyra more than any of my characters so far and I am sure a lot of youngster will be able to relate it to. She is insecure , moody , not impulsive and thoughts are the same the way I behave in my real life.”
Well , Dear Zindagi is produced by Gauri Shinde , Karan Johar , Gauri Khan and also stars Kunal Kapoor , Ira Dubey , Angad Bedi and Ali Zafar.
At last , here is what the King Khan has to say about Dear Zindagi , “the beauty of this film is it is made by confident women , we live in a man’s world , though we oftenly talk about women empowerment and feminism , but with this one (Dear Zindagi) , we have walked our talk!”
