LIVE UPDATES: India vs England 2nd ODI- India wins nailbiting in Cuttack


    In Cuttack ODI India decided to bat first. India lost its three wickets early in just 5 overs. Captain Virat Kohli (8) and openers Shikhar Dhawan (11), KL Rahul (5) were all dismissed by England’s   fast bowler Chris Woakes.

    After a disastrous start by the hosts against England, the partnership between MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh revived the Indian innings. 



    India crosses the 100-run mark in 21.3 overs as Yuvraj completes his  52nd  half century. Dhoni also completed his 62nd half century in 29.4  overs making India score to cross 150 runs.



    India will try to score 300 plus run to give a tough challenge to England. Its interesting to know that England have not won any an ODI series in India since 1984

    After 35th over the score of India reached  208-3  with an excellent tonne from Yuvraj Singh.The two have already put up a record partnership for the fourth wicket against England, which is worth 172 at the end of this over.

    After 38th over India, score crosses 245 runs with 200 runs partnership between Yuvraj and Dhoni.

    AT 40.5th over England appeal for the catch and even umpire raised his finger.Yuvraj immediately signals for the review but tells Dhoni he is not sure. Replays show that there is an outside edge but the ball bounces on its way to Buttler. The crowd roars as the decision is reversed. Another replay says that Dhoni signalled for the review first.

    Dhoni completes his century against England while Yuvraj Singh makes 150 runs.The next ball Yuvraj got out making  excellent 150  runs

    India puts a huge target of 381-6  to England to chase. Dhoni made excellent  134 runs which included 10 fours and 6 sixes in his inning.

     England’s batting

    England lost its first wicket in form of Hales who got out by giving a simple catch to wicketkeeper  MS Dhon  on ball Jasprit Bumrah. Hales scored just 14 and England reaches score of  33/1 in 4.5 overs.
    . Jason Roy takes single to get his fifty.Next ball, Joe Root also hit boundary and completes his fifty.
    India finally have the breakthrough to dismantle the 100-run stand. Ashwin does the damage!
     Excellent delivery by Ravindra Jadeja  dismisses  set England batsman Jason Roy at 82 runs.Ben Stokes was dismissed by Ashwins delivery bring the England to 193-4 in overs 30.0 
     Moeen tries to swing at ball but only ends up getting the bottom edge that disrupts the stumps.England is 309 for 7 wickets in 45 overs.
    Eoin Morgan doesn’t celebrate his hundred and brings up his ninth ODI hundred. India 
    Last over of inning was bowled by Bhuvneshwar Kumar in which England need 22 runs to win the match.Bhuvi bowled an excellent spell by giving less than 6 runs. Finally Indon won the match as well as series under its new captain Virat Kohli
