India’s Finance Minister Arun Jaitely has said that “the Opposition Parties who were the part of every scandals are the ones who are opposing the demonetisation move by the government.” He has also stressed that the government is very confident about the measures it has taken to fight against corruption , black money and counterfeiting fake notes. On this Jaitley said that the “oppositions main strategy is to disrupt the smooth debate , there are so many noises but very little substance!”
“On the 1st day , the debate was held without any prior conditions , but from the next following day , it has become objectionable for the other parties (mainly Opposition) to put unreasonable conditions forward and they continue their legacy forward!”
He directly targeted the Congress and said , “Parties who were and are the part of every scandal once happened in the country are now fully opposing our demonetisation move and those who never considered a scandal as a blunder and now taking demonetisation into consideration as a blunder.”
Be it Congress person Manmohan Singh or Derek O’Brien and Naresh Agarwal who raised the question , “why did the government not pre planned the move in advance and blindly went with the decision of demonetising the higher currency denominations ?”
This Rajya Sabha session was attended by the PM Modi himself in the morning today , while he has to listened to comments from the Opposition team as , “case of loot” , “a monumental mis – management” and many others. Whereas Derek O’Brien from the Trinamool Congress urged all the parties to work together in fighting against this move and to find effective solution to combat the problems of the common man.
He said , “please it is not an ego battle , let us find an appropriate solution. It is not that late that you have come to us after 5 days , we can still find a solution to this. In all my humility I appeal to the PM , that take our suggestions and put a stop to the sufferings of the common man!”
