In the Ancient duration Ranu Karn Avanti who was a widowed rani of the Chittorgarh was attacked by the Bahadhur Shah,The rani had approached the Mughal king Humayun sent him a rakhi to save her emperor,Humayun had fought the war and stopped the invasion of Bahadur Shah but the Rani had committed suicide before he had stoped the invasion.
The another story is the lord Krishna and Draupadi,lord Krishna had his finger broken and bleeding when Draupadi tied him a knot from her saree cloth and showed her the love and effection towards him and prayed for him and people celebrate rakhi Purnima by tying a Rakhi to their brother’s fist that protects them.
