“‘Gulaabo’ was the first song that Shahid and I had to do. I was very nervous about dancing with him. I had to have at least 10 per cent of his energy. He has 100 per cent. I rehearsed a lot,” Alia told reporters here at a promotional event of the Vikas Bahl-directed movie.
Shahid said he faced a lot of competition from his co-star as she would be rehearsing while he was hanging out on the sets.
Shahid and Alia seem to have crackling chemistry in the movie and the actor attributes it to her unassuming nature.
Alia revealed the bikini scene that is generating a lot of headlines was actually shot in cold weather.
“It was minus two and I was doing this scene. I was not comfortable. I was freezing,” she said.

While talking about Gulaabo, the Shaandaar actors shot, Alia said, “I was very nervous. Shahid helped me a lot. Bosco called me penguin feet and Shahid used to say chill, do like this, do like that. He used to rehearse in eight minutes flat and I took time. He is great dancer and if he gives 10 percent, then also it seemed like he gave 100 percent. I wanted to match up just one percent of him.”
At the event Alia was in an upbeat mood. when asked what the actress would do at her bachelorette, she started dancing and Sasha jokingly asked her what she was on and told her to share it with him. Seeing the spunky actress in an energetic mode, a journalist compared her to Ranveer Singh and asked if she was the female version of Ranveer Singh. Though Alia seemed to be bowled over with this comparison and said Woahhh!, Shahid snubbed the journo sand said, “No, not at all. Agar woh Ranveer ke jaisi hiti toh hamari chemistry aisi nahi hoti. ”
