Rudhramadevi Tamil Movie Review:Anushka Shetty’s “Rudhramadevi” (Rudramadevi) has been released worldwide on 16 October. It is a historical movie written and directed by Gunasekar.The movie narrates the life and times of Rudhramadevi, a popular ruler from the Kakatiya dynasty. Anushka Shetty has donned the title role with Allu Arjun and Rana Daggubati playing the roles of Gona Gana Reddy and Chalukya Veerabhadra respectively. The movie has Illayaraaja’s music, Ajayan Vincent’s cinematography and Sreekar Prasad’s editing It is made with a budget of Rs 80 Cr, After releasing the movie in Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages respectively.
Rani Rudrama Devi who ruled the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau, Rudhramadevi is blessed with an interesting plot. Anushka is raised as a male child by her father for the welfare of their dynasty and is also made to marry Nithya Menon. Anushka however, falls in love with Rana outside her marriage. Meanwhile, Kakatiya dynasty’s rival ruler (Vikramjeet Virk) plans to wage a war against Anushka and her father, who are now jointly ruling their dynasty. Can Rudhramadevi defeat her enemy and foes within her Kingdom? What happens to her marriage life? Such questions are answered in the film which forms the crux of this plot.
