Kohinoor Malayalam Movie Review:Malayalam drama film released today, 24th September 2015. The film is directed by Vinay Govind. The movie has Asif Ali, Indrajith Sukumaran, Aju Varghese and Chemban Vinod Jose in the lead roles. The songs and background score are composed by Rahul Raj. The music got very good reviews from the audience, especially the song called Hemanthamen got an overwhelming response.
Aparna Vinod of “Njan Ninnodu Koodeyundu” fame plays the female lead opposite Asif Ali. Kohinoor movie is a story of 1987-88, It give us a message that there should not be any religion feeling in the friendship. Asif Ali is playing the role of Louis. Aparna plays the role of a girl who rushes to grab Kohinoor.Kohinoor revolves around the life of Louis(Asif Ali) who’s only motto in life is to earn wealth and name. He consults his friends for help, Aandikunju (Aju Varghese), Haider (Indrajith), Freddy (Sunny Wayne), and Nicholas (Chemban Vinod Jose). What plans they make to earn money forms the crux of the story.The movie is set in 1988 period. The movie revolves around the lives of friends who make plans to earn money. The movie is said to be a comedy entertainer. Most of the people who watched it said that its an average flick with some comic relief.
It was a time when Mohanlal’s ‘Rajavinte Makan’ and Mammootty’s ‘Athirathram’ were such a rage among youth. Louis (Asif Ali) wishes to be like Vincent Gomas and Tharadas, the heroes in these movies. If not, at least become a junior Vincent Gomas or Tharadas; to earn wealth and name and thus become famous. When Louis set out with such an aim, he is joined by his close companion Aandikunju (Aju Varghese), Haider (Indrajith) from Mumbai, Freddy (Sunny Wayne) from Kochi, and Freddy’s friend Nicholas (Chemban Vinod Jose).

Overall this movie notes with few melodies which is an advantage with suspense scenes and improvised drama. Makers are confident about the success of this movie. ‘Massive intro of Asif Ali and Imitating mohanlal’s character is attractive.’
