P V Sindhu accepts the job of Deputy Collector in the state of Andhra Pradesh !


    The pride of our nation and the silver medalist in Rio Olympics 2016 in the Singles women Badminton PV Sindhu yesterday has confirmed the offer of becoming Deputy Collector in the state of Andhra Pradesh. 

    She has decided to take government’s job offer as Group-I officer. The badminton sensation Sindhu is currently working in the public sector oil company, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) as deputy manager (sports). She will join at the rank of district deputy collector and could get IAS promotion within eight nine years under special consideration.

    P V Sindhu is currently 21 years old and holds 5th position in the world ranking. She lives in Hyderabad and trains at Pullela Gopichand’s badminton academy at Gachibowli.

    P V Sindhu’s mother P Vijaya in an interview told about her confirmation and she had conveyed her willingness to take up the offer. She said,”We are expecting the appointment order”.

    Last year PV Sindhu amazing silver medal win at the Rio Olympics 2016 had made her a star, not just in the country but all over the world. The Andhra Pradesh government offered the girl Rs.3 crore. This offer was made to the Sindhu last year by Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh along with a 1,000 square yard residential plot in the state’s to-be capital Amaravati. The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao had too offered her Rs.5 crore alongwith a 1,000 square-yard plot in Hyderabad’s upmarket Shaikpet area last month.
