9th February, Thursday, Hyderabad, the city police arrested four including two engineering students for allegedly circulating fake Rs 2000 currency notes in an engineering college canteen located on the city outskirts.
The Special Operations Team (SOT) of Hyderabad recovered Rs 36 lakh new Rs 2000 notes from the accused. The police also recovered four mobile phones, a color printer and handed the accused to the Rajendranagar police for further interrogation. It is suspected they were circulating these notes from past two months.
The name of the Four persons were- two of them are Sk Waheeduddeen and S Shameer who are Engineering Students and the other two were identified as Vijay Kumar Sarma of Bowenpally area in the Secunderabad and Harshad Ali of Barkatpura area in Hyderabad.
“The four were using Vijay Kumar Sarma’s house for printing the notes. They have been circulating the notes wherever possible. We got a tip off that the college canteen owner is getting fake notes from the two students every day”, said the Special Operations Team inspector E Venkat Reddy, who led the operation.
Since the demonetization move by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 8TH November 2016, many such cases of Illegal Cash holding as well as illegal circulation and printing of notes had been coming. The Demonetization move was a good move but due to some illegal move by these corrupt people of nation, the economy is facing many drawbacks. These situations needs to be tackled as early as possible by the government as well as the people of the nation.
