Jayalalithaa’s niece, Deepa Jayakumar told that she is shocked to see the sudden changes and twist going in the AIADMK politics.She was surprised and shocked to hear the news about caretaker and former chief minister O Panneerselvam being dropped from the position of party treasurer after revolting against party chief VK Sasikala.
When she was asked to comment on the developments in the AIADMK that took place within last 24 hours, she just described it as “It is shocking”.
Recently Panneerselvam stated that he would surely invite Deepa to work with him. On the other hand, she told she did not receive any such personal invite from his side, moreover, she came to know about Mr Panneerselvam’s invite through media channels.
This time she openly spoke about the present AIADMK General Secretary Sasikala. She told that people of Tamil Nadu never wanted Sasikala who is currently present AIADMK General Secretary to become Chief Minister of the state.
She said she would follow “ideals and policies” of her aunt Jayalalithaa as a tribute to her.She also said that she will also make a formal declaration about her political plans on February 24 which also marks the birth anniversary of her aunt Jayalalithaa as a tribute to her.
When asked whether she will launch a new political party or join an existing one she replied,”There is no change in my plan, I will continue with my proposed plan (announcing her course of action on February 24),”
Last night, Panneerselvam opened up about his decision of resigning from the post of Chief Minister and told that he was forced to do so to make way for Sasikala.
Later Sasikala removed him from the post of AIADMK Treasurer.
