Beautiful Neil
Interested in spending vacation and escape the touristy trap well Neil can be a perfect option for you. Neil is a small island in the Andaman Nicobar archipelago and still not infested with regular tourist like Port Blair and Havelock .
I visited Neil around month of October last year just before the Autumnal festival. To reach the island town you can avail cruise service my Makruzz or government ferry both from Port Blair or Havelock . This Island was mainly used as a rehabilitation center for the refugees from east Pakistan during 1971 war. Now these refugees are responsible for maintaining and local administration. It seems to be a mini Bangladesh with a dialect very distinct from West Bengal is commonly used .
Well, being aloof from the mainland the mobile network connectivity is very poor (forget 2G no connection at all) but again it is a complete bliss as you dont want the mobile to disturb you when you are enjoying in the lap of nature.
While the golden setting sun and the perfect blue water mesmerize you from the shore there is lot of adventure waiting underwater. Neal is among the favorite scuba diving destination for both professional and beginners. There are 3 main diving site near the island and you can try the adventure sport with the help of trained personnel and if you are lucky you may even spot sea turtle and a few sting rays.
So want to escape urban hustle bustle, pack your bag and book for Neil. Enjoy the evening with a cup of tea while sun sets painting the sky in crimson.
