Australian Media always succeeds in garnering attention and controversy when it’s home team is busy at the ground trying to defend or run between the wickets. The ongoing India-Australia series has had its fair share of drama.

Things took off after the Australian skipper Steve Smith was seen seeking dressing room advice after being adjudged leg before wicket during his team’s second inning in the match which India won 75 runs. Kohli was seen giving an animated send off to Smith and this got the Cricket associations of both the countries involved in a tussle. Later on BCCI withdrew its complaint against Smith after ICC decided not to take any action against him.

The most recent development however has been of an article in the Australian newspaper which quoted “Virat Kohli has become the Donald Trump of world sport. Just like President Trump, Kohli decided to blame the media as a means of trying to hide the egg smeared right across his face.” This was published after the third test in Ranchi ended in a draw.

This withdrew large scale criticism from everyone in the cricket fraternity but our Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan who is a cricket enthusiast also condemned the act. He took time out of his busy schedule to tweet about the matter. The veteran actor stood in support of Kohli and thanked the Australian Media for accepting the Indian Skipper as a winner and a President.

This is not the first time that Mr.Bachchan has shown love and support to the Indian cricket team, he earlier created a storm after he tweeted about an Indian Commentator’s remark about MS Dhoni’s team’s WT20 campaign.
