2 Minute Silence Observed Across Telangana & Andhra Pradesh!

    A 2 minute silence was observed across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh on Monday on the 69th Death Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The silence was observed at 11 am today in all the government offices and educational institutions as a token of respect to Mahatma Gandhi and the others who sacrificed their life for the independence of India.

    Traffic was also stopped at major intersections across Hyderabad and other towns in Telangana and at Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. And other towns of Andhra Pradesh observed a 2 minute silence paying respect to the sacrifices of father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi.

    Police appealed to the civilians to ensure full solemnity during observing 2 minutes of silence and the Governor of the two Telugu States , E.S.L Narasimhan and Telangana Chief Minsister K. Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) paid the floral tributes at the Bapu Ghat in Hyderabad.

    The Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya and several other Cabinet Ministers of Telangana and top officials along with political leaders paid their rich tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at the  Bapu Ghat in Hyderabad. Bapu Ghat is a memorial where the ashes of Mahatma Gandhi were immersed at the confluence of rivers Musi and Esi.

    The Chief Minister along with the Governor and other eminent leaders later attended an all religion prayer meeting while in Vijayawada Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his Cabinet colleagues paid their tributes to Mahatma Gandhi. AP CM Chandrababu Naidu led the entire Andhra Pradesh state in observing a 2 minute of silence as a mark of respect to Mahatma Gandhi.
