sub-compact SUV has been launched in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs. 4.53lakh.
Available in a total of 14 variants across 4 trim levels, the Mahindra KUV100’s price ranges between Rs. 4.53 lakh – Rs. 6.76 lakh . It’s not only Mahindra’s first mini SUV in the country, but the most affordable mass product as well.
With aggressive styling, feature-rich cabin and affordable pricing, the KUV100 will attract young buyers . Since it caters to a niche segment, it will not have any direct rival in the country. But, at this price, this mini SUV will take on the B-segment hatchbacks .
The Mahindra’s mini SUV is offered in four trim levels – K2, K4, K6 and K8 – and an all-new mFalcon engine lineup – a 1.2-litre mFalcon G80 petrol and a 1.2-litre mFalcon D75 diesel. While the former produces power worth of 82bhp against 114Nm of torque, the latter one is good for 77bhp with 190Nm. Both the powertrains, developed jointly by Mahindra and Ssangyong, are claimed to return high fuel efficiency and great performance.
The new mFalcon engine family will also be used for several future products of both the companies. The transmission duty is taken care of by a 5-speed manual gearbox. While the petrol mill is claimed to return fuel efficiency of 18.23kmpl, the diesel mill offers 25.32kmpl. This also makes it the most fuel efficient car of its segment.

1. Skinny tyres don’t offer much grip. Can get scary in a fast corner or under hard braking.
2. NVH (Noise Vibration Harshness) levels are higher than immediate competition (Grand i10/Swift) – especially in the diesel variant.
3. Seats hard, do not offer a lot of support. Integrated headrests on the 3+3 seating configuration variant.
1. First in segment – optional six seater variant. Bench seats on the front can accommodate 3 people.
2. Electronic Start – Stop System on the top end K8 variant. Saves fuel.
