Yamaha launches sports bike 'YZF-R3' in India at Rs. 3.25 lakh


Indian bike lovers most aviating bike Yamaha YZF-R3 launched in India on 11th August.This Yamaha YZF-R3 is actually based on the Yamaha YZF-R25 modal. Firstly all thought that Yamaha is going to launch Yamaha YZF-R25 but on surprisingly Yamaha are going to launch its YZF-R3 in India. And this Yamaha YZF-R3 is powerful than Yamaha R25.This new Yamaha is going to be sell in India at Rs 3.25 lakhs.


Coming to the specifications of this new Yamaha YFZ-R3 has 320cc engine which make 42 PS and 29.6 Nm of torque from its liquid-cooled,motor churning out 42PS at 10,750rpm and peak torque of 29.6Nm at 9,000rpm.This Yamaha R3 has 6 speed gearbox. The kerb weight stands at 169 kg and which makes the bike riders very easy to handle the bike and this also helpful in increasing the power of the bike. Yamaha is also providing ABS breaking system to Yamaha YZF-R3 bikes.

This Yamaha is going to become competitive for popular KTM RC 390,Kawasaki Ninja 300 and Benelli TNT 300.Kawasaki Ninja is the segment leader as of now in terms of being a better product. Yamaha should very close to the competition and the only missing competitor in action is the CBR 250R which is all set to be replaced at the RevFest event most likely.


Yamaha said in a statement that,”With all-new engine and chassis designs, the YZF-R3 sports a solid combination of class-leading power and a lightweight body that achieves high levels of riding performance and styling worthy of the ‘superbike’ moniker.”

Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt Ltd Vice President- Sales & Marketing Roy Kurian said,”Currently the Supersports segment (250cc to 600cc) is doing around 1,000 bikes a month and the plan is to attain a 20 per cent market share in the segment.”
