Apple Inc. has plans to manufacture their popular iPhones in India , for the Indian Market. A Taiwanese OEM Maker for Apple named Wistron is now setting up a facility in Peenya which is Bengaluru’s Industrial Hub to start manufacturing iPhones. This facility will start the production from April , 2017.

The top sources in the company Apple Inc. has confirmed that it (company) is ‘very serious’ to begin the assembly operations and even the full manufacture in India by the end of the next year. They said, “Bengaluru is being looked at seriously.”

Hence the local manufacture of Apple’s iPhone will help the company price the smart phone competitively as the full imports will add up to 12.5 % additional duty. Earlier , Foxconn was committed to set up a manufacture plant in Maharashtra.
